2026 Summer School Programming – School Counselor at Wright Elementary (June 2, 2026 – June 30, 2026). This position is a summer school assignment and does not constitute permanent employment in the District for the 2026‑2027 school year. The program runs from June 2, 2026 to June 30, 2026. Compensation will be provided in accordance with the Local 1220 Bargaining Agreement.

Requirements

Illinois Professional Educator License with School Counselor endorsement
Satisfactory Evaluation for the past two years
Demonstrated knowledge of current instructional and curricular methodologies
Average Daily Attendance of greater than 93% of a regular school term
Evidence of current professional development
Salary cap of 3% or less

District 189 teaching staff have selection priority on a point system as described in Article XVII of the 1220 Agreement.
