About STMA Schools We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs more than 750 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district comprises one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1‑4, two middle schools for grades 5‑8, and one high school for grades 9‑12.
Position Overview & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for working with students with disabilities to meet the academic, behavioral, and physical needs identified in the goals, supports, or services of the IEP in either an individual or small‑group setting under the direction of the special education teacher, classroom teacher, or bus service personnel. Maintain confidentiality of student and family information as required under FERPA.
Compensation & BenefitsStarting Date: Aug 27, 2026 Contract: 183 days Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:20‑3:20, including a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break
FTE: 0.8125 (32.5 hours per week)
Salary: $21.15–$21.63 per hour
Benefits include medical coverage (options for VEBA, HSA, or FSA), dental coverage, life insurance, long‑term disability coverage, and dependent‑care flexible spending accounts. This position may be combined with other benefits‑eligible positions to reach full‑time benefits eligibility.
Requirements & QualificationsRequires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and two years of postsecondary education or successful completion of a valid and reliable formal assessment as identified by the school district or state; ability to work with staff and an educational team to provide services to students with disabilities; prior experience working with students or adults with disabilities preferred.
