Job Description About STMA SchoolsWe are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs more than 750 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district consists of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for preparing lessons, instructing students with a wide range of abilities, assessing student learning, collecting and analyzing student data to plan instruction, creating an engaging and respectful classroom environment, communicating with students, parents and multiple stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, supervising students, participating in school improvement initiatives, and learning professionally.
Contract & CompensationFTE: 1.0
Contract: 186 days (plus 2-3 days of new-to-district orientation, depending on Department of Teaching & Learning requirements)
Salary: Starting salary range $48,292–$90,967. See Certified Master Contract . Submit unofficial transcripts of all degrees and college credits earned after the last degree issuance for lane and step placement consideration. Additional documents received after posting closed will not be considered.
Requirements & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in education and required teaching certificate in the related area(s) of instruction as required by the State of Minnesota; specific content knowledge, training or job experience required before appointment, and successful student teaching.
