Position Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for preparing lessons, instructing students with a wide range of abilities, assessing student learning, collecting and analyzing student data to plan instruction, creating an engaging and respectful classroom environment, communicating with students, parent and multiple stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, supervising students, participating in school improvement initiatives and learning professionally. Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education and required teaching certificate in related area(s) of instruction as required by the State of Minnesota , specific content knowledge, training or job experience required before appointment, and successful student teaching.

High School English teaching degree preferred.

Wages
:
Long-Term Substiute Certified Staff Rate with appropriate Certification from PELSB: $32.45/hour. $22.50/hour-$25.62/hour day with short-call substitute license only, depending on how many days the applicant worked ina teaching assignment during the previous school year.

• Available but without district contribution for fully certified teacher if contract days are less than 30.
• Certified Staff Benefits at the 0.75 FTE district contribution level with afull teaching license in the appropriate subject/grade matter for an assignment over 30 contract days.
• No benefits available with short-call substitute license.
• Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) will be provided as required by law for either license type.
