Position: Long-Term Substitute Speech Language Pathologist (October 6 - November 30, 2026)

Communication Specialist

We are a district that serves over 6,000 students and employs 725 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.

Position Overview and Responsibilities

Responsible for identifying students with communication needs; planning and implementing appropriate research based treatment to minimize adverse impact on student's success; and providing education and direction to school staff, family and related service providers regarding the student's communication needs. Start Date:

October 6 - November 30, 2026

FTE: 1.0

Contract:

36 8-hour days, no evening hours.

Requirements and Qualifications

Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field from an ASHA accredited university is required. MN Educational Speech Language Pathologist license is required. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CF) is preferred. Prior experience as a Speech Language Pathologist is preferred.

Salary

Long-Term Substitute Rate: $9,346.68/36-days.

Full-time (1.0 FTE) certified staff benefits, see Certified Master Contract , with district contribution. Benefit eligibility for the contract 10/06/2026-11/30/2026. 3 hours of personal leave (16 hours
* 36 days/186 days prorated for the term of the assignment) + Earned Safe and Sick Time.
