Hutchi is growing, and we’re looking for Installation Engineers to work on high-quality projects across the UK.

This is not repetitive “same‑site” work — you’ll be delivering audio‑visual, access control, lighting, and network‑connected systems into premium fitness, leisure, hospitality, and commercial environments.

The RoleAs a Hutchi Installation Engineer, you’ll be responsible for installing and supporting a wide range of systems on live construction sites and operational venues.
You’ll be trusted to work professionally, think ahead, and take ownership of your work — whether that’s a neat cable run, a well‑mounted device, a complex lighting installation, or flagging an issue before it becomes a problem.
What You’ll Be Doing Technical Installation- Installing AV systems, displays, speakers, racks, and control equipment to a high standard
- Installing feature and functional lighting systems and associated control infrastructure
- Installing access control systems including turnstiles, barriers, maglocks, and DDA lanes
- Running and terminating structured cabling (CAT6, fibre, control and power) neatly and efficiently
- Working from drawings, schematics, and method statements
- Assisting with basic testing and fault‑finding as required
- Supporting service department when needed
- Always representing Hutchi professionally on site
- Communicating clearly with site teams, clients, and colleagues
- Working calmly and methodically in busy, live environments
- Identifying issues early and escalating appropriately
- Completing job reports, timesheets, mileage, and expenses accurately
- Recording stock usage and materials installed
- Providing clear feedback to project and service teams
- Working safely and in line with RAMS and site rules
- Maintaining tidy, compliant working areas
- Taking pride in the quality and longevity of your installations
- Full UK driving licence
- ECS / CSCS
- Previous experience in a technical installation role (AV, ELV, data, electrical, or similar)
- IPAF / PASMA
- Good technical aptitude and willingness to learn
- AVIXA CTS‑I
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
- UKATA
- Ability to work away from home when required
- SSSTS
- Electrical, Telecoms, or Audio Qualifications
