We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable individual to serve as a Teacher Substitute. This role is essential for maintaining a consistent learning environment in the absence of regular classroom teachers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring that students remain engaged and focused. Flexibility, strong communication skills, and a passion for education are key attributes for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Engage students in learning activities and encourage participation.
• Provide support to students with varying needs and learning styles.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as needed.
• Monitor and assess student progress during the class period.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and report any issues to school administration.
• Uphold school policies and procedures at all times.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in education or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage classroom dynamics and maintain student engagement.
• Flexibility and adaptability to different classroom environments and teaching styles.
• Basic understanding of educational principles and practices.
• Certification or licensure in education is a plus but not required.
• Background check clearance as per school district requirements.
• Availability to work on short notice and willingness to accept assignments in various grade levels and subjects.
