Financial Reporting – Assistant Vice President

Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Vice President, you will support the delivery of high‑quality accounting and reporting services for clients within the Guernsey office. You will play an important role in coordinating reporting cycles, reviewing work prepared by junior team members, supporting workflow planning, and maintaining strong internal and external working relationships.
The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, good organisational skills, and a proactive, solutions‑driven mindset, with escalation of complex or judgemental matters to senior leadership where appropriate.
Operations- Support the operational performance of assigned clients or portfolios, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to service level agreements and internal controls.
- Assist with the preparation, review and timely delivery of management, interim and audited accounts across a portfolio of Guernsey‑based entities.
- Support the preparation of capital adequacy calculations, management fees, carried interest calculations, and other ad hoc accounting tasks as required.
- Assist in monitoring the setup and ongoing operation of the Apex outsourcing model for financial reporting, escalating issues to the VP or senior management as required.
- Contribute to audit planning activities and coordinate the provision of information to auditors to support efficient and timely audit completion.
- Act as an initial point of contact for routine client queries, working closely with Client Relationship Management to ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
- Review financial statements, working papers, and supporting schedules prepared by junior team members.
- Assist in monitoring the timely delivery of quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring LPA and regulatory deadlines are met.
- Support the development and maintenance of bespoke client reporting and assist in producing client‑specific reports where required.
- Act as a signatory.
- Provide day‑to‑day guidance and technical support to junior team members.
- Assist with training initiatives and knowledge sharing across the team, promoting best‑practice procedures.
- Contribute to a collaborative, supportive and client‑focused team culture.
- Ability to work independently on assigned responsibilities while operating effectively within a broader team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent), with experience in fund administration; ideally within Private Equity or similar structures.
- Demonstrated experience in financial reporting within a regulated financial services environment.
- High integrity, sound judgement, and strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and supporting solutions to practical accounting or reporting challenges.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to review work critically and manage competing deadlines.
