Summary
The Radiology Manager oversees the daily operations, staff, quality, financial performance, and overall patient care within the Radiology Department. This role ensures compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and supports strategic growth while maintaining high-quality imaging services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage radiology operations, staffing, scheduling, and staff development.
- Develop and implement department goals, policies, quality improvement programs, and competencies.
- Oversee budgeting, financial monitoring, supply management, and revenue‑enhancing initiatives.
- Ensure regulatory compliance (DOH, NIAHO, ISO 9001) and support accreditation programs.
- Maintain strong communication, teamwork, and customer service standards.
- Respond to patient concerns and promote patient satisfaction.
- Provide imaging support in OR/PACU (hip/knee/shoulder cases, c‑arm & portable units).
- Attend leadership and committee meetings; present departmental updates as needed.
Physical Requirements
Frequent mobility, lifting up to 30 lbs, computer use, and ability to work occasional weekends/holidays.
Qualifications
- Accredited radiology degree.
- ARRT certification (CT or mammography preferred).
- 5–7 years of radiology experience + 2–3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- BLS certification (or within 3 months).
