Part-Time Registration Specialist

River's Edge Hospital & Clinic seeks a Part-Time Registration Specialist to welcome patients, complete accurate registration, and support smooth clinic flow. In this role, you'll verify insurance, collect co-pays, update demographics, schedule appointments, and maintain precise records in our EHR. You will work closely with nurses, providers, and support staff in a patient-centered, community-focused setting that values compassion, teamwork, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services
• Verify patient demographics, insurance, and eligibility; obtain necessary authorizations
• Collect co-pays and patient payments; provide receipts and basic billing information
• Secure and accurately enter data into the electronic health record system
• Obtain signatures for required consents and privacy forms
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments and procedures
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and clinical staff to support care coordination
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and hospital policies
• Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
• Assist with general front-desk duties, phone calls, and way finding as needed
