The role is to lead and maintain a high-performing local service line, build and sustain excellent client relationships, and help achieve our mission of delivering excellent client service while supporting the goals, aims and strategies of the Company and performing the duties of the role diligently and professionally.
Responsibilities- As a Senior Vice President, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a high-performing local service line.
- Assist the Directors/Senior Team in the management of the Company and participate in the rollout of Company strategy.
- Delegate and oversee the production of management, interim and audited accounts for all entities contracted locally.
- Delegate and oversee the preparation of capital adequacy calculations of licensed entities, management fees, carry calculations and all other ad hoc accounting tasks as required.
- Oversee and monitor the setup and operation of the Apex outsourcing model for financial reporting.
- Facilitate and take responsibility for the planning and delivery of the annual audit process.
- Act as escalation point for client issues in conjunction with Client Relationship Management team.
- Review accounts as and when required.
- Facilitate and monitor the preparation of all quarterly and annual financial statements produced for Guernsey contracted business to ensure that LPA and regulatory deadlines are met.
- Develop and maintain bespoke reports for clients' specific requirements.
- Review time spent against budgets.
- May act as Director on client boards.
- Act as a Signatory.
- Review, recommend and implement agreed changes to business procedures seeking to confirm best practice across all Groups.
- Provide training to and develop staff members within the team.
- Act as line manager; ensure all staff have individual development plans and hold regular one-to-one meetings.
- Provide coaching to more junior staff to ensure that team deliveries are at the superlative level.
- Foster the spirit of teamwork and client service excellence across the brief.
- Ability to lead self and others – be a self-starter and help others step up when challenged.
- Client relationship management skills.
- Relevant accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, etc) with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity in a financial institution, preferably within a Private Equity Fund Administration environment.
- Focus on great service delivery/outcomes for the client.
- Experience with regulatory approvals as a principal; strong inter-personal and technical fund administration expertise.
- Integrity, good communication, discretion and tact; ability to work with ambiguity and deliver pragmatic solutions.
- Ability to reflect and review actions.
