We're looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join a busy, fast paced manufacturing team. This role sets up and runs CNC equipment to produce precision parts, reads blueprints and specs to hold tight tolerances, and works through problems on the floor as they come up. This is a strong fit for someone who takes pride in precision work and wants to grow inside a stable operation.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes or machining centers to produce parts to specification
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and work orders to plan machining sequence and tooling
- Select, install and adjust tooling and fixtures for each job
- Inspect finished parts with precision measuring instruments, calipers, micrometers, gages, to confirm tolerance
- Edit or adjust programs at the machine to correct issues and improve cycle time
- Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Document production and quality data accurately for each job run
- Keep the work area clean and organized, and follow all safety protocols
- Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills, calipers, micrometers, gages
- Hands on experience with CNC controls, Fanuc, Haas, Mazak or similar
- Technical training or certification in machining or a related field preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and adjust independently
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Consistent adherence to safety protocols and procedures
- Physical stamina, ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads
- Comfortable working with a variety of hand and power tools in support of machining tasks
