Position: RN House Manager (Part-time)

Base Pay: $44.81 - $65.55 / Year

Responsibilities

The House Manager is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management and supervision of patient care areas during the assigned tour of duty. He or she acts as the on-site administrator for REH after normal business hours and has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Administrator on Call. The House Manager shares responsibility for the evaluation and management of departmental resources.

The House Manager coordinates and organizes personnel and other resources to meet the patient care functions of the organization in a cost-effective manner. Collaborates to provide crisis management, interpret policy and procedure, and assure timely and effective communication and collaboration between individuals and departments. The House Manager represents the organizational leadership across all venues on a 24 hour basis and collaborates to make decisions and act on behalf of the leadership team.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Minnesota RN License
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association
  • Five years of acute care nursing experience
  • One year of leadership experience (charge nurse, supervisory role, manager)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Emergency Department and/or critical care nursing experience
  • Demonstrated interpersonal relationship skills that enhance communication, promote conflict resolution, and facilitate staff mentoring and development.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work in stressful situations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Summary

We have one part-time (.75 FTE, 60 hours per two weeks) House Manager opening, working straight nights. Shifts are 12 hours, working every third weekend and every third holiday.
