Store Manager Trainee

Responsibilities

We’re seeking a Store Manager to join our team to lead associates, assist customers, and drive store sales. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of business operations to maximize sales and profitability
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations
• Lead, train, and develop store associates to foster a culture of growth
• Provide every customer with a positive and enjoyable shopping experience
• Safeguard the company’s assets
• Build strong relationships with the community by actively engaging in outreach and partnerships
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies and procedures
• Implement operational and merchandising direction that is communicated from our corporate headquarters
• As a manager, may be required by local jurisdiction to provide background information necessary to obtain a license to sell alcoholic beverages or tobacco products; failure to comply may result in demotion or separation of employment

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Ability to focus on results and build strong relationships with team members is required
• Excellent communication skills are required
• Retail management experience is preferred
• Ability to routinely lift up to 40 lbs. (occasionally up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height is required
• Ability to handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting is required
