Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on packaging and production equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime and ensure the safe operation of all equipment in compliance with food safety and quality standards.

- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and maintenance requests on the production floor.
- Maintain logs and records of work completed, parts used, and status updates.
- Assist in installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery or equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and in compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with machine operators and production leads to identify maintenance needs and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain tools, spare parts inventory, and organized maintenance areas.
- Actively participate in safety programs and serve as a safety and food safety advocate.
- Support plant utilities (e.g., compressed air systems, HVAC, water supply) as needed.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing or general manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Familiarity with GMPs, food safety, and OSHA workplace safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to work alternating 3-day/4-day weeks, 12-hour shifts, with additional overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for entering maintenance data and reporting.
- Forklift certified or ability to become forklift certified within 14 days of employment.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.

Work EnvironmentThis position is located in a food production setting. Work hours include Monday through Wednesday from 4 pm to 4:30 am and every other Thursday. The role involves working 12-hour shifts on an alternating 3-day/4-day schedule, with the possibility of additional overtime as needed. The environment is physically demanding, requiring standing, bending, climbing, and lifting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Saint Peter, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
