The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is a residential, sex offense specific treatment program in a modified therapeutic community and secure setting that provides services to over 700 individuals who have been civilly committed for sexual offending. ** In this role as
** Assistant Operations Supervisor **, you'll support the day-to-day operations of the residential units and provide direct supervision to Security Counselors and Security Counselor Leads. This is a unique opportunity to positively impact client rehabilitation while supporting staff development and program excellence.*
* ** This role supports MSOP- CPS which is a less restrictive, unlocked residential setting located outside of the secure perimeter.*

* Primary Responsibilities:

*

** Assist other Group Supervisors in managing the daily operations of residential units (Ensuring quality care in a safe and secure environment)*
* +  
** Promote client participation in treatment and adherence to unit programming*
* +  
** Support and uphold MSOP policies, procedures, and expectations*
* +  
** Coordinate and facilitate key operational functions such as Job Coach activities, searches, and ICS (Incident Command System) drills.*
* +  
** Provides immediate supervision to Security Counselors and Security Counselor Leads within the dept.*
* +  
** Assist in the overall operations of residential units ensuring a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment.*
* ** Minimum Qualifications*
* ** You must meet the following requirements:*
* - Have one (1) year supervisory experience in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment;

OR

- Have two (2) years lead work or professional experience in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment providing counseling, rehabilitative patient care, or direction of client care programs;

OR

- Have three (3) years paraprofessional experience in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment providing counseling, rehabilitative patient care, or direction of client care programs.

* Note:

A Bachelor's Degree in:
Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Rehabilitation Therapy, Health Sciences, a Behavioral Science or related field may be substituted for six (6) months of experience.  OR One (1) year of any supervisory experience may be substituted for a maximum of six (6) months of experience

** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Experience working with patients/clients with sexual psychopathic personalities, sexually dangerous persons, mentally ill and dangerous, or with developmental disabilities.
