Material Handler
This role focuses on accurately picking materials for assembly and production lines, maintaining precise inventory records, and supporting warehouse operations through safe material handling and equipment operation. You will work within an MRP system to document inventory movements, perform cycle counts, and ensure products are properly allocated and available to meet production needs.
Responsibilities- Pick orders for assembly and production lines according to work orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Enter pick lists and related data into the company database and submit completed work orders daily.
- Use the company MRP system (Great Paine) to document inventory movements and maintain accurate records.
- Allocate stock received from the receiving department to appropriate locations within the warehouse.
- Perform inventory control through regular cycle counting and document all findings in the company database.
- Operate sit-down propane and electric forklifts safely and efficiently throughout the workday as needed.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as required to support overall operations.
- Lift and move materials weighing up to 70 lbs while following safe lifting practices.
- At least 3 years of experience in order picking for parts within a warehouse environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in stock replenishment and inventory control activities.
- Proficiency using MRP systems for data entry and inventory documentation, including systems such as Great Paine.
- Hands-on material handling experience in a warehouse or similar setting.
- Ability to perform accurate data entry into company databases and MRP systems.
- Capability to lift up to 70 lbs safely and repeatedly as part of daily duties.
- Experience operating sit-down propane and electric forklifts.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking, stocking, and documenting inventory.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting multiple warehouse areas and adapting to changing operational needs.
- Familiarity with cycle counting processes and basic inventory reconciliation.
- Comfort working in varying temperature conditions within an open warehouse environment.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and using required personal protective equipment.

WorkEnvironment
This position is based in an open warehouse environment that can be warm in the summer and cold in the winter. The facility provides fans and heaters to help maintain comfort throughout the seasons. You will regularly use warehouse equipment, including sit-down propane and electric forklifts, and work with an MRP system for inventory documentation. The role involves physical activity, including lifting up to 70 lbs and moving materials throughout the warehouse.
A safety-focused dress code is in place, which requires safety glasses and steel-toe footwear at all times while on the warehouse floor.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SAINT PETER, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
