Position: Labourer for Public Works Projects
Join the City of Victoria as a Labourer specializing in public works. Engage in essential services such as refuse collection and park maintenance on flexible, varying shifts.

This role with the Engineering & Public Works department involves contributing to multiple construction and maintenance projects. You will utilize hand tools and light equipment, performing duties like cleaning parks, digging, and maintaining irrigation systems. The position is part-time with varying hours throughout the week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in road and concrete projects with manual labor

• Operate hand tools effectively for various tasks

• Perform mowing, trimming, and irrigation duties

• Collect refuse and maintain cleanliness in public areas

• Support excavation efforts and other site functions

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent

• Minimum of six months experience in a related role

• Capability to move heavy materials as part of tasks

• Familiarity with hand tools and power equipment

• Adaptability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions
