Registered Nurse - Med​/Surg - Per Diem - Nights

About This Role

The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes. This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to providing effective direct care and coordinating patient care activities within an interdisciplinary team.

• Schedule:
  
  Per Diem, Night shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Formulate age and disease specific patient/family centered goals/outcomes.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.

• Education:
  
  - Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required.
  - BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Experience:
  
  - Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program.
  - One year of nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  
  - NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
  - BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position.
  - National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
