Registered Nurse - ICU​/CCU - Per Diem Nights

About This Role

The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on expanding knowledge and skills while providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. This role is ideal for those who are dedicated to improving patient outcomes and thrive in a collaborative environment.

• Location: Manahawkin, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Per Diem, Night shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.

• Education:
• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire
• Experience:
• Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience required
• 2 years of Nursing experience preferred
• 1 year experience in an ICU, step down unit, or Emergency room preferred

• ACLS certification by American Heart Association required
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification required
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred
