Junior Facilities Technician – Stafford, NJ Build Your Career While Building Community

Are you a recent HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry or another Building Trades graduate looking for a high‑stability career in the essential housing sector? We are looking for a Junior Facilities Technician to join our team. In this role, you aren’t just "fixing things"—you are the technical steward of a critical community resource, ensuring that mechanical systems run efficiently and homes remain safe and dignified for our residents.

Why

Choose to Work in Affordable Housing?
  • Recession-Proof Stability: The affordable housing sector work offers consistent and stable work and long‑term career security.
  • Systems Mastery: Gain deep experience in high‑density building systems, from commercial-grade HVAC to complex electrical and plumbing grids.
  • Professional Impact: Apply your technical education to make a direct, positive impact on your community every day.
The Mission:
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues. We value "fix‑it‑right" solutions over temporary patches.
  • Preventative Oversight: Take the lead on the building’s health—scheduling and executing inspections on HVAC units, hot water systems, and life-safety equipment.
  • Regulatory Readiness: Ensure all units and common areas meet rigorous safety and quality standards.
  • The "Unit Turn" Specialist: Manage the restoration of apartments between residents, applying skills in drywall, carpentry, and appliance repair.
  • Emergency Response: Participate in a structured on‑call rotation to protect the property and residents during off‑hours.
What You Bring to the Team:
  • Technical Training: A recent certificate or degree from a technical school (HVAC, Electrical, or Building Trades) is highly valued.
  • Problem‑Solving Mindset: High‑level reasoning skills to solve practical problems where "textbook" answers might not exist.
  • Service Excellence: Strong communication skills to interact professionally with residents and property management.
  • Reliability: A valid driver’s license and the physical stamina to navigate the property, climb ladders, and lift up to 50lbs.
Education & Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (Required).
  • Technical School Certification (Highly Preferred).
  • Valid New Jersey driver’s license (Required).
  • For more information, those with a resume should call or text Chad: 732‑228‑8980
