NON-AFFILIATED POSITION

POSITION: Full-Year Permanent Substitute Teacher

Schedule:

10-Month, 181 student days in accordance with the school calendar

Location:

Stafford Elementary School (grades 1-5)

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree Required. Preferred candidate would hold a valid grade-appropriate Connecticut teaching certificate. In addition, a state and national criminal check will be required, as well as a state DCF search.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The permanent substitute is expected to report to work every day school is in session. The substitute will be guaranteed a teaching assignment each day that school is in session and must be willing to work at Stafford Elementary School and West Stafford School and cover all grades and subjects (grades PK through
5). The permanent substitute may be requested to substitute at the secondary level (grades 6-12) if an assignment is not available at the elementary level.

Duties would include maintaining a consistent learning experience for students by providing consistency in the educational program and building relationships with school staff.

RATE OF PAY: $125.00 per day; $140.00 per day if CT certified

Insurance Benefits Available (Single Coverage or Waiver Stipend)
