ScopeThe Methods Engineering Technician will assist with all aspects of creating, updating, and maintaining documentation controlled by methods engineering. The position reports to the Engineer Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities- Process front‑end tasks for engineering staff, including creating internal part numbers in an Oracle‑based MRP system, entering orders, and creating component specifications using manufacturer datasheets.
- Create and maintain incoming inspection plans noted on doc specs.
- Process generic updates to work instructions (correcting typos, adding Q‑Alerts as directed by quality, or adding notes from engineers).
- Assist in processing orders and Manufacturing Change Notices as directed by engineering staff.
- Address obsolete components by identifying alternates and obtaining end‑customer approval.
- Assist with printing UID labels and troubleshooting label programs.
- Process update requests from planning, such as creating customer‑supplied part numbers and addressing alternate components.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Strong project management skills and ability to stay organized.
- Sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to interpret customer documentation (blueprints, drawings, specifications, bills of material).
- Pass an eye exam with minimum 20/20 vision (corrected as required).
- Ability to work with all levels of personnel, including production floor associates.
- Working knowledge of Adobe, MS Excel, MS Word.
- Ability to work effectively with little supervision.
- Prior experience with MRP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement).
Education: Associate’s degree preferred.
Preferred Experience: Printed circuit board assembly knowledge preferred.
Export StatementMust comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC. This includes identifying ITAR products, recognizing foreign visitors, following authorization procedures for foreign visitors, understanding export/ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the U.S., and managing vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
