Scope

Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for hand soldering, set‑up and operation of automated soldering machines used in soldering of printed circuit boards. Assignments are semi‑routine in nature. Follows verbal and written instructions including blueprints, subassembly layouts. May use hand tools, set up, adjust and operate automatic or semi‑automatic machines. Conducts regular preventative machine maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Hand solder electronic components in through‑hole and surface mount technology to Military Standards.
  • Set up and operate automated soldering equipment.
  • Prepare boards for soldering operations such as cleaning and masking.
  • Clean printed circuit boards and equipment.
  • Visually check work in process for solder defects and adjust as required.
  • Understand work instructions and customer blueprints.
  • Accomplish all job‑related paperwork in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Communicate effectively and responsibly to supervisors and leadership team.
  • Maintain a clean work area in accordance with 6S standards.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and training exercises.
  • Perform all other assigned duties as required and be willing to be trained on new processes.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
Essential Knowledge and Skills
  • Demonstrated mechanical/repair skills (intermediate).
  • Ability to communicate in English clearly, both written and verbal; good interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds, work 9‑hour shifts, and properly use provided PPE.
  • Ability to pass an eye exam with a minimum 20/20 vision that may be corrected via eyeglasses or contact lenses. Eye exam is required annually.
  • Comply with all Company Safety and ESD Program requirements.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED.
Required Experience
  • Solder

    Experience:

    1 Year.
Preferred Experience
  • Manufacturing: 1 Year.
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience in an electronics testing environment desired.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation ranges are provided for roles in New York, California and Colorado.
