Ready to bring your nursing expertise into the classroom? Cross Country Education is looking for a compassionate and proactive Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a high school student in Stafford Springs, CT for the school year.
Position Overview- Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing support to a high school student, ensuring safety, comfort, and consistent access to educational activities throughout the school day.
- Manage and monitor complex health needs, including seizure protocols, medication-related supports, and use of adaptive equipment and mobility devices such as gait trainers.
- Assist with physical care needs, including safe transfers and mobility support, while maintaining a supportive and dignified learning environment.
- Collaborate with the classroom teacher and related service providers to ensure the student can fully participate in classroom routines and school activities.
- Active Connecticut Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid CPR, First Aid, and AED Certifications
- Prior experience in pediatric nursing, complex care management, or a school-based setting (Preferred)
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including the capability to safely lift and transfer up to 50 lbs.
