We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support comprehensive accounting functions for a multi-plant manufacturing division. This role will play a key part in monthly close, financial reporting, and operational analysis, while partnering closely with plant operations, finance leadership, and auditors. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support and execute month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and trial balance reviews
- Support lease accounting and technical accounting applications
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for management
- Partner with plant operations to analyze variances and support performance improvements
- Generate cost reports and operational analysis for Accounting Managers and Plant Leadership
- Assist with inventory accounting
, including valuation, reserves (E&O, LCM), and analysis - Support standard cost updates, BOM reviews, and manufacturing cost analysis
- Assist with capital projects, budgeting, and AFE tracking
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls and internal accounting policies
- Support internal and external audits
, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation - Drive process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Operations, and Corporate teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- CPA, CMA, or Master’s degree preferred
- 5 to 10 years public accounting OR 4-11 years industry experience
- Manufacturing or plant accounting experience
- Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and close processes
- Experience with inventory, cost accounting, or standard costing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, analysis, reporting)
- Experience with SAP and/or BPC preferred
- Strong communication skills with ability to present to management and cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
