Materials Coordinator
Materials Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Stafford Purchasing team in a variety of tasks both in the office and on the production floor to improve efficiency and enhance service levels.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Provide backup support to Buyers as needed to ensure continuity of purchasing operations.
- Maintain and update SAP purchasing attributes for new part number setups.
- Support Buyers with and lead‑time improvement initiatives.
- Enter and maintain status update notes within SAP.
- Develop and maintain positive supplier relationships.
- Coordinate closely with internal departments, providing technical and practical support when required.
- Monitor and follow up on purchase orders to ensure resolution.
- Utilize macros and generate the daily Open Order Report (OOR).
- Track shipments using SCO, DHL, Fed Ex, and UPS.
- Monitor, review, and analyze imports via ISCO (Ocean Transit) reports.
- Verify purchase order receipts.
- Update suppliers promise dates through manual and mass‑update processes.
- Expedite orders through Reschedule‑In activities to meet demand requirements.
- Manage Reschedule‑Out activities to align deliveries with changing business needs.

Required Education, Experience &
Skills:
- Associates degree
- Minimum 3 years related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of fundamental concepts of production planning, inventory, scheduling, and lean principles as they apply to purchasing.
- Forward thinking analytical and problem‑solving skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient with ERP systems (prefer SAP) along with advanced Excel skills.
