Position SummaryResponsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of turboexpanders. Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment, plans corrective action, and handles installation, commissioning, scheduled and emergency service on products.
What You Will Do- Commission, install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair customer turboexpander equipment.
- Instruct customers and sales personnel on operation and maintenance.
- Analyze complex equipment problems and interpret maintenance manuals.
- Consult with product support and engineering to determine solutions.
- Report customer suggestions on product improvement.
- Take customer calls and prepare proposals based on customer needs.
- Schedule jobs using an online application.
- Assist in developing design modifications and implement them with installation support.
- Maintain service equipment, tools, and documentation.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Domestic and international travel 50%‑70% of the time.
- Work inside and outside, in cold or hot climates.
- Safety glasses, steel‑toe shoes, ear plugs, gloves (as needed), safety vest, and safety harness (as required).
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with rotating equipment, turbo machinery, turboexpanders, or compressors.
- Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and control repair.
- Basic electrical circuit knowledge, PLC experience with Allen‑Bradley or Siemens.
- Excellent organizational, computer, and communication skills.
- Ability to interface with Engineering and Project Teams and communicate with all staff levels.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
