Partnering with Baker Hughes – a global energy technology company serving customers in more than 120 countries – you will help customers improve safety, reliability, and operational performance by positioning innovative pressure relief solutions for critical process applications across multiple industries.
Responsibilities- EPC Project Development
- Identifying and engaging EPC firms during FEL, conceptual, and FEED project phases.
- Positioning pressure relief solutions for specification on key capital projects.
- Building and maintaining relationships with EPC and end‑user engineering teams.
- Technical Relationship Management
- Developing trusted relationships with process safety, mechanical, engineering, and procurement stakeholders.
- Presenting technical capabilities and application expertise to support design decisions and acting as a technical resource to customers and project teams.
- Pipeline Development & Project Pursuit
- Building and managing a robust pipeline of capital projects across North America.
- Tracking opportunities from project conception through award and execution.
- Identifying project influencers and supporting specification development activities.
- Forecasting & Reporting
- Collaborating with sales and commercial leadership to provide accurate project forecasts.
- Supporting regional and global project reporting initiatives and maintaining visibility of project opportunities and strategic pursuits.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partnering with sales, engineering, product management, and leadership teams to align project pursuit strategies.
- Supporting development of technical and commercial solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Coordinating internal resources to maximize project win rates.
- Market Intelligence & Business Growth
- Monitoring industry trends, capital project announcements, and competitor activities.
- Identifying emerging opportunities within key process industries and contributing insights to refine commercial and business development strategies.
- Account Management & Industry Representation
- Maintaining account plans for key EPC firms and strategic customers.
- Driving long‑term relationship growth across major engineering contractors.
- Representing Baker Hughes at industry conferences, customer events, and project kickoff meetings.
- Experience with in the pressure relief, valve, process safety, or engineered equipment industry.
- Proven experience engaging with EPC firms and influencing project specifications.
- Strong understanding of industries such as oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, chemical, power generation, or midstream.
- Demonstrated success in business development, project pursuit, or capital equipment sales.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to engineering and commercial stakeholders.
- Strong relationship‑building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel across North America to customer sites, EPC offices, and industry events.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, business, or a related field.
- Knowledge of ASME, API, and pressure relief sizing standards.
- Existing relationships with major EPC firms such as Fluor, K , Bechtel, Worley, or Jacobs.
- Familiarity with project lifecycle stages including FEL, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, and construction.
- Experience supporting specification development and project execution workflows.
