2nd Shift Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist (2nd shift) to join our team at the Stafford, Texas location. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of machine tools and manufacturing processes, a commitment to precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

• Fabricate fixtures, jigs, brackets, and other parts, including welding, grinding, tapping, forming, deburring, and inspection for conformance to requirements.
• Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjust machine controls as required, and report all malfunctions to the immediate supervisor.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Set up and operate machine tools to achieve desired tolerances and finishes.
• Measure and inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain equipment and work area clean and orderly, performing basic preventative maintenance functions.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Assist with training others on equipment when necessary.

• Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in operating machine tools, mills, grinders, and other precision equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving abilities, and knowledge of machining techniques and tooling.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• English reading, writing, and communication at a level necessary to safely and effectively perform essential job duties.

• Experience with CNC machining and machine setup.
• Knowledge of programming and operating CNC machines.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Experience with Mazatrol or Fanuc controllers.
• Experience operating Toyoda, Hyundai, or Mazak equipment.
