Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machinist (2nd shift) to join our team at the Stafford, Texas location. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of machine tools and manufacturing processes, a commitment to precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities- Fabricate fixtures, jigs, brackets, and other parts, including welding, grinding, tapping, forming, deburring, and inspection for conformance to requirements.
- Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjust machine controls as required, and report all malfunctions to the immediate supervisor.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Set up and operate machine tools to achieve desired tolerances and finishes.
- Measure and inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain equipment and work area clean and orderly, performing basic preventative maintenance functions.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Assist with training others on equipment when necessary.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in operating machine tools, mills, grinders, and other precision equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving abilities, and knowledge of machining techniques and tooling.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- English reading, writing, and communication at a level necessary to safely and effectively perform essential job duties.
- Experience with CNC machining and machine setup.
- Knowledge of programming and operating CNC machines.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Experience with Mazatrol or Fanuc controllers.
- Experience operating Toyoda, Hyundai, or Mazak equipment.
