Analyst II, Eurofins Environment Testing South , Stafford, TX

Job Description

The Analyst II prepares and analyzes environmental samples using both standard and complex testing according to scientific and environmental protection methodology in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing America’s Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures. Validates and reviews data for accuracy through Level I reviews. Uploads laboratory data into the LIMS system to generate data packages for delivery to clients. Must be knowledgeable of a broad range of laboratory testing equipment requiring the exercise of discretion and judgment in its operation.

• Performs laboratory procedures requiring knowledge of scientific methods and testing procedures including:
  • Batching and prep'ing samples for analysis taking into account special and varied client and quality assurance requirements
  • Making reagents for sample analysis
  • Ali quoting extracted samples to maximize laboratory productivity
  • Preparing appropriate standards to ensure compliant data
  • Determining appropriate routine and complex analysis methods for a wide variety of organic and inorganic samples
  • Operating, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory instruments
• Uploads data into the LIMS system for review.
• Performs Level I review of data produced to ensure accuracy.
• Maintains logbooks.
• Monitors refrigerator temperatures.
• Responsible for performing job functions within Eurofins Environment Testing America environmental health and safety and quality assurance standards.
• Maintains housekeeping standards for work area.
• Inventories and stocks laboratory supplies.

• Orders supplies.
• Washes and inventories glassware.
• Writes NCM’s for projects with quality assurance issues.
• Purges analyzed samples.
• Assists in training new analysts on laboratory procedures.
• Assists in other areas of laboratory when needed.

• BS or BA in chemistry or related field. Three years laboratory experience may substitute for degree.
• Minimum two years’ experience in routine and complex laboratory procedures and instruments, preferably in a production environment.
• Experience with GCMS, FID.
• One year of experience analyzing organics preferred.
• Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines).
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English is required, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.

This is a full‑time position, 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm with possibility of overtime and weekends as needed.

$25‑$30 per hour, DOE, with actual base salary based on relevant experience, skill set, internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
