Summary

The Sales Representative is responsible for managing and growing assigned accounts while supporting overall sales operations. This role combines direct sales responsibilities with coordination across internal teams to ensure excellent customer service, timely product delivery, and achievement of sales targets. The ideal candidate is results-driven, customer-focused, and experienced in consumer packaged goods (CPG), preferably within Asian food or traditional grocery channels.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop sales activities within the assigned territory to achieve sales volume targets, profitability goals, and expand the customer base.
  • Conduct regular sales calls to grocery stores and similar outlets; present products, negotiate promotions, and secure new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term partnership.
  • Ensure product availability and coordinate timely delivery by working closely with internal teams, including distribution centers and purchasing.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable within acceptable terms; coordinate with accounting to resolve payment-related issues.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
  • Assist in developing and executing customer‑specific trade promotion programs and achieving sales projections.
  • Prepare sales reports, perform forecasting, and provide recommendations for business improvements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, including contact details and order history.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to orders, shipments, and product availability.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support product development, packaging improvements, and promotional strategies.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
  • Travel regularly to visit clients based on an approved schedule.
  • Support sales operations through administrative tasks, coordination, and follow‑ups as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 1‑2+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or related roles; experience in CPG or food distribution preferred.
  • Experience in Asian food or traditional grocery channels is highly desirable.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English is required; fluency in Vietnamese is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as required.
  • Ability to learn and use sales and ERP systems effectively.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • May require standing or walking for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.

The salary for this position is $42,500/year plus commission. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
