General Job Description IES Residential (IESR) is seeking a dynamic Plumbing Field Instructor to join our team at our Education Center in Stafford, Texas. Our goal is to empower the next generation of skilled professionals through hands-on instruction and mentorship. The ideal candidate will possess a journeyman or master plumbing license and a comprehensive understanding of all phases of residential construction.

This role is essential in developing the skills and knowledge of our students, ensuring they are well-prepared for successful careers in the plumbing industry.

• Deliver engaging and effective training sessions in plumbing techniques and best practices, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
• Collaborate with the education team to enhance and develop course materials that meet the needs of students and industry requirements.
• Provide field instruction, guiding students through real-world plumbing projects to reinforce theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
• Foster a supportive learning environment, offering guidance, feedback, and encouragement to students to help them succeed.
• Evaluate student progress through practical assessments and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
• Promote a culture of safety by ensuring all students understand and adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
• Work closely with other instructors and staff to maintain a cohesive educational approach and share best practices.

• Specific Qualifications
• Valid journeyman, tradesman or master plumbing license required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the plumbing industry, with a strong understanding of residential construction experience.
• Previous experience as a crew lead in all phases of residential new construction preferred.
• Previous experience in teaching or training is preferred, with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical concepts.
• A genuine enthusiasm for training and mentoring students, with a commitment to their success.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students of diverse backgrounds and skills levels.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple training sessions and student assessments.
