The Valve Technician is responsible for the inspection, repair, maintenance, and testing of various types of industrial valves, including pressure relief valves (PRVs), gate valves, ball valves, and control valves. This role requires both shop and field work, supporting customer sites with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and on-site service execution.

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and test valves in both shop and field environments
• Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, reassembly, and calibration of valves
• Conduct pressure testing, seat leakage testing, and functional testing in accordance with industry standards
• Troubleshoot valve performance issues and recommend repair or replacement solutions
• Complete detailed service reports, inspection documentation, and test records
• Ensure all work complies with company safety policies and industry regulations (API, ASME, etc.)
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition
• Travel to customer sites as needed to perform field service work
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and team members regarding job status and findings
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, and operational efficiency

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred
• 2+ years of experience in valve repair, maintenance, or related mechanical field
• Experience working with PRVs, control valves, and manual valves preferred
• Knowledge of industry standards such as API and ASME is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50+ lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in industrial environments
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and at customer sites

• Combination of shop and field service environments
• Exposure to industrial settings, including oil & gas facilities and customer job sites
• May require extended hours, overtime, and travel based on business needs
