Material Handler

• Receive, store, and issue equipment, material, supplies, merchandise, and tools. Compile stock records for stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.

• Count, sort or weigh incoming articles to verify receipt of items from Purchase Orders.
• Examine stock to verify conformance to specifications.
• Determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
• Store articles in bins, on floor or shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.
• Fill orders or issue supplies from stock.
• Maintain record of materials issued.
• Cycle counts - Weekly
• Run monthly report to maintain limited shelf-life material.
• Cut stock to fill order.
• Transport material or supplies to other departments.
• Deliver and pick-up material, as required.
• Maintain inventory and other stock records.
• Maintain office supplies on minimum/maximum level.
• Close out and sign off on completed work orders.
• Follow Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
• Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

• Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.
• Understand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Participate in Atec Continuous Improvement activities as appropriate (including Strategic Planning, AIM, Suggestion box, etc.).
• Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.
• Cooperate with Auditors.
• Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

• High school diploma or General Education Degree; or related experience and/or training; or combination.

• Valid Texas Drivers License

• Employee is frequently required to stand, stoop, sit, kneel, walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or
  balance; and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.
