Description

The Shipping & Receiving Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day shipping and receiving activities to ensure materials, products, and shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures. This position serves as a lead resource within the department, helping prioritize workflow, resolve shipping and receiving issues, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure timely movement of materials throughout the facility.

The Shipping & Receiving Lead works closely with Production, Purchasing, Sales, and other departments to support operational needs. This is a hands-on position and does not have direct reports.

Requirements
  • Lead and instruct the daily responsibility of the Warehouse/Logistic personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all Warehouse & Logistic procedures, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping process.
  • Pick and pull inventory to complete Sales and Production orders.
  • Coordinate with Production team to ensure completed orders are properly prepared and prioritized for shipment.
  • Coordinate cycle counting activities and promote inventory accuracy throughout the warehouse.
  • Pack completed orders, stage shipments, and ensure orders are properly prepared for pickup or delivery.
  • Performed required quality checks on shipments to ensure accuracy and minimize shipping errors.
  • Process shipment transactions in the ERP system and coordinate freight pickup scheduling.
  • Prepare and process all required documentation for purchase returns and coordinate shipments to vendors.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and support department goals.
  • Communicate damaged shipments, discrepancies, and shipping errors to the Warehouse Manager and assist with resolution.
  • Assist with warehouse organization, inventory management, and process improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as required.
  • Frequently lift and move parts weighing approximately 5-30 pounds from various heights and push or pull dollies and carts for distances up to 300 feet.
