Panel Beater

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Panel Beater to join a busy fleet vehicle repair centre in Wigan. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong body repair experience who takes pride in producing high-quality work. The role As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicle bodywork to a high standard. You will work on a variety of fleet vehicles, carrying out repairs efficiently while following company and industry standards.

Key responsibilities Assessing vehicle damage and identifying the appropriate repair methods. Carrying out panel repairs, replacements and structural repairs. Removing damaged panels and fitting new or repaired panels. Straightening and reshaping vehicle bodywork. Carrying out welding and other necessary body repair techniques. Preparing vehicles for painting and finishing. Completing repairs to a high standard while maintaining attention to detail. Working safely and following all Health & Safety procedures.

Working efficiently to meet repair timescales and productivity targets. Using tools and equipment correctly and maintaining a clean, safe working environment. Working as part of a wider team to ensure vehicles are repaired and returned to service promptly. About you The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Panel Beater within an accident repair, bodyshop or vehicle repair environment .

You will ideally have:
Previous experience in a Panel Beater/body repair role. Experience repairing a range of vehicle makes and models. Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques.

Experience with panel replacement, straightening and welding. Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A strong understanding of Health & Safety within a workshop environment. A full UK driving licence would be advantageous. What we offer Full-time, stable hours.
