Job Title

DMV Customer Service Technician – Stafford CSC‑02626

Agency & Location

Department of Motor Vehicles – Stafford CSC

Pay and Hours
  • Salary: $19.72 per hour (may increase with relevant DMV experience)
  • Wage employment limited to 1,500 hours per agency during the 12‑month period May 1 – April 30
  • Maximum 29 average hours per week over the 12‑month period
  • Part‑time wage position; no state benefits
Job Duties
  • Communicate policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Issue IDs and process applications
  • Administer vision, driver, and in‑car road tests
  • Process vehicle registrations, titling, tax, and fee collection, and other DMV‑related services
  • Provide customer service and problem‑solving support in a fast‑paced environment
  • Work with a team and collaborate on daily operations
Qualifications
  • Customer‑service experience in a fast‑paced environment
  • Experience using a personal computer or other automated systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working on a team
  • Flexibility to work Monday‑Friday and Saturday
  • Strong organizational, time‑management, problem‑solving, and multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to complete assignments on time
  • Driving record with a point balance of less than six demerit points and no major convictions
  • Ability to lift 10–25 pounds
Additional Information
  • Preferred qualifications:

    prior relevant DMV work experience
  • Vehicle and driver knowledge beneficial for role
