Advanced Spine and Pain Centers is seeking a certified Physician Assistant for our Virginia/Maryland offices.
Candidates with previous experience in pain management and/or orthopedics are highly desirable.
Physician Assistant Requirements: must have graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with current license to practice in the State of Virginia/Maryland.

Pain Management Physician Assistant Duties- Conduct thorough physical examination of patients presenting with pain-related concerns;
- Review patient’s medical history;
- Administer and monitor medication management for pain relief, following established protocols and guidelines;
- Consult with other providers before deciding on a therapy or treatment program to help patients manage their pain;
- Using knowledge and pain management skills to find effective non-invasive treatment options;
- Performing joint injections;
- Provide patient education on pain management techniques, lifestyle modifications and self-care strategies;
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients;
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and research in the field of pain management through continuous learning and professional development.
- Active VA and/or MD license;
- Previous experience in the field of pain management is preferred;
- Excellent clinical skills, including physical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning;
- Ability to work independently and take initiative, demonstrating a high level of autonomy in decision-making;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals;
- Dedication to providing compassionate and patient-centered care, with a focus on improving the quality of life for individuals living with chronic pain;
- Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, confidentiality, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

- Working Hours:
Office hours Monday-Friday 7A-5P (8 hour shifts).
