The Training Specialist, Mid supports the design, development, and delivery of training solutions to ensure successful user adoption of systems and applications. This mid-level role collaborates with customers and senior training staff to produce high-quality multimedia training materials and deliver effective training experiences.
Responsibilities- Independently perform the majority of functional duties while collaborating with customers and the Senior Training Specialist on training design, strategies, and objectives.
- Make recommendations to enhance training materials and delivery methods to ensure maximum user adoption.
- Develop and maintain software-based learning modules for training purposes.
- Design and produce training materials in a variety of formats, including print, graphics, audio, video, animation, and multimedia.
- Cofacilitate and/or deliver training sessions and workshops as required.
- Perform quality reviews of training deliverables and mentor Junior Training Specialists on tools, templates, and best practices.
- Work with the development lead to maintain configuration management of training projects and related files and records.
- Track and communicate training content progress, dependencies, risks, and issues to support on-time delivery.
- Other duties as assigned.
- MA/MS degree OR
- BA/BS with 3 years of experience OR
- Equivalent amount of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- 5 years of experience in a field directly related to the position.
- 5 years of experience as a video editor or in a similar role.
- 5 years of experience developing video or multimedia training materials.
- 1 year of experience coordinating or task leading content development efforts, including planning, scheduling, status reporting, and risk or issue tracking.
- Background check required.
- Experience supporting training efforts for software development or IT programs.
- Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments.
- Experience developing training for enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
- Proficiency with video editing and multimedia production tools.
- Ability to develop clear, engaging training materials for diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple training deliverables simultaneously.
