Step into a meaningful contract opportunity providing essential psychological services to students in a welcoming educational setting near Stafford, VA just 45 minutes south of Washington, DC. This full-time position offers a chance to work closely with two schools, supporting student well-being through expert assessment, consultation, and behavioral intervention.
As a skilled school psychologist, you will focus primarily on conducting assessments, delivering consultation services, supporting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP), and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. There may be occasional opportunities to assist social workers with counseling services. Academic achievement testing will not be required, as every building is staffed with dedicated educational diagnosticians.

Qualifications:
- Active VA Department of Education School Psychologist Certification
- Valid Virginia Psychology License
- Strong background in school psychology, assessment, and behavioral support
- Experience with FBA/BIP development and participation in MTSS is highly valued
- Comfortable working on-site with students across a range of ages and needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and specialized staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct student assessments and consultations
- Support FBA/BIP implementation and provide input to intervention teams
- Collaborate in MTSS processes as needed
- Maintain clear documentation and adhere to district and state protocols
The contract runs from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week (8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.). Immediate action on credentialingincluding TB testing and a VA Dept. of Social Services checkis required due to time-sensitive onboarding.
