We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with a strong Electrical Engineering background to lead New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts and support manufacturing operations for electronic and electro-mechanical products. This role serves as the bridge between engineering and production, ensuring products transition successfully from design to manufacturing while optimizing test processes, quality, and scalability.
Responsibilities:- Lead NPI activities including prototype builds, pilot runs, and production ramp-up
- .Collaborate with Electrical Engineering, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Suppliers to ensure successful product launches
- Develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing, assembly, and electrical test processes
- Design and implement test fixtures, functional test systems, and automated test equipment (ATE)
- Interpret electrical schematics, PCB layouts, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and technical documentation
- Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) initiatives during design reviews
- Troubleshoot electrical and system-level issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Support supplier qualification, onboarding, and technical issue resolution for PCBAs and electrical components
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, quality, reliability, and operational efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineeri
ng preferred;
Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering with strong electronics experience will be considered - 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in electronics, PCBA, or electro-mechanical environment
- Strong knowledge of NPI, DFM, DFT, and electronics manufacturing processe
- Experience developing electrical test solutions, fixtures, and production test method
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, wiring diagrams, and BOM
- Familiarity with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and signal generator
- Experience with ECAD/CAD tools (Altium, OrCAD, etc.) and PDM/PLM system
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and PCBA supplier
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skill
- Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-222
- Experience with LabVIEW, ATE systems, or other test automation platform
- Hands-on soldering, rework, and electronics troubleshooting experience
- Familiarity with EMI/EMC compliance testing
- Lean Six Sigma certification or continuous improvement training
