Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Controls Engineer to design and deploy reliable, scalable control systems for global AWS data centers. You will engineer and implement PLC, BMS, and SCADA solutions for power and cooling, lead commissioning and testing, and ensure systems meet safety, security, and uptime standards. Partnering with design, construction, and operations teams, you'll troubleshoot complex issues, drive root-cause analysis, and standardize controls across regions.

Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and deploy data center control systems for AWS facilities
- Implement and test PLC, BMS, and SCADA integrations for power and cooling systems
- Collaborate with design, construction, and operations teams to ensure reliable deployments
- Develop commissioning plans, functional tests, and validation documentation
- Troubleshoot control system issues and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- Support standardization of control architectures, templates, and best practices across regions
- Review vendor submittals and drawings to ensure compliance with AWS standards
- Ensure control systems meet safety, security, and compliance requirements
- Use data and monitoring tools to optimize performance and reduce downtime
- Contribute to continuous improvement of deployment processes and automation
Required Skills
- Industrial control systems (ICS) design
- PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens)
