Job Title: Onsite Helpdesk Support Technician

Location: Stafford, Virginia

Pay Range: $14-$17/hr W2

The Helpdesk Technician will support day-to-day IT needs, including workstation support and conference room technology, ensuring meetings and presentations run smoothly. What’s the Job?
  • Provide in-person technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, VPN, login problems)
  • Assist with password resets, account access, and basic system navigation
  • Set up and deploy workstations, peripherals, and standard software
  • Support conference rooms before and during meetings to ensure proper operation
  • Assist users with connecting laptops to displays, projectors, and video conferencing systems
  • Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in a ticketing system
  • Escalate unresolved or complex issues to senior IT staff as needed
  • Maintain a professional, friendly, and service-oriented approach when assisting users
What’s Needed?
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware (PCs, laptops, peripherals)
  • Foundational knowledge of networking concepts (Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, IP basics)
  • Familiarity with Windows and/or macOS
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting mindset
  • Comfortable assisting users in a professional, in‑person setting
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and checklists
  • Dependable, punctual, and eager to learn
Preferred (But Not Required)
  • Coursework or training in IT, computer science, or technology
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace
  • Exposure to helpdesk ticketing systems (Service Now, Jira, Zendesk, etc.)
  • Interest in IT support, networking, or audiovisual technology
Work Environment & Schedule
  • Onsite office environment
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate school commitments
  • Business hours support; minimal or no after‑hours work
  • Part time 3 days a week 4 hrs a day
