Data Center Technician

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the launch team for our new Stafford, VA site! You will be based primarily in Fredericksburg, and during the initial phase you may need to travel to Fredericksburg, Louisa, and Manassas to support operational needs and training while the Stafford sites ramp up to full capacity. All candidates must be available to work any of our day or evening shifts throughout the week.

The position requires a U.S. citizen who currently possesses an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility, and will be required to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph after start. The role also requires participation in an on‑call rotation and the ability to provide after‑hours support as needed.

• Ensure overall availability and reliability of data center operations to meet or exceed defined service levels.
• Perform in‑depth hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation and provide after‑hours support.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Work in a 24/7 environment with the ability to participate in an on‑call rotation.
• Complete some regional travel as required.
• Follow safety guidelines for working in cramped spaces or at elevated locations.

• 1+ year of computer networking experience.
• 1+ year of Linux operating systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
• Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).
• Strong customer service skills during problem resolution and the ability to operate efficiently under pressure.
