SAP Application Administrator – Senior Level
The SAP Application Administrator – Senior Level is a critical Key Personnel role responsible for managing and sustaining all SAP-related applications within the DLA Legacy AMPS environment. This role ensures optimal performance, reliability, and security of SAP applications while supporting integration with Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Single Sign-On (SSO) systems. The incumbent will serve as the technical point of contact for SAP operations, perform advanced administration tasks, and support project and program requirements.
Responsibilities- Serve as the technical lead for SAP application administration across development, testing, production, and disaster recovery environments.
- Perform system configuration, monitoring, patching, tuning, and troubleshooting of SAP applications.
- Administer SAP GRC and related security modules in alignment with DoD and DLA cybersecurity policies.
- Support integration of SAP applications with PAM and IAM systems (Legacy AMPS and DLA E-ICAM).
- Act as the technical point of contact for SAP-related incidents, changes, and problem resolution.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, System Administrators, Cloud Specialists, and Help Desk teams to ensure operational continuity.
- Conduct system analysis, performance optimization, and implement best practices for application availability and security.
- Develop and maintain SAP technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
- Support audits, compliance checks, and risk management activities related to SAP systems.
- Participate in system upgrades, implementation of new SAP modules, and integration of additional enterprise systems.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must hold Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline. Equivalent experience may substitute for degree.
- Minimum 6 years of industry experience, with 3–6 years of SAP-specific administration experience.
- Proven experience supporting DoD or Federal SAP environments.
- Knowledge of SAP GRC, SAP security, and SAP system configuration.
- SAP module administration (security, configuration, user management).
- Proficiency in managing SAP on Oracle Database and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Strong understanding of IAM, SSO, and PAM integrations.
- Experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication for collaborating with government and contractor teams.
- Certifications:
Relevant SAP administration certifications preferred.
