AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security related requirements. This position requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7, provide after‑hours support as needed, and participate in primary responder rotation.
• Work in cramped, elevated, and/or noisy environments.
• Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.

• Must be able to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed. Over 50 miles or less than 50 miles to active data center sites is required.
• Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until assigned facility is operational.
• Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and operational status of assigned facility.

• Move and implement large enterprise equipment.
• Install fiber and copper cabling, patch cabling between equipment.
• Ensure proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation.
• Follow well‑established hardware installation procedures and break‑fix activities.
• Safely use material handling tools and equipment.
• Travel within and outside of the regional work area as required.

• Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.
• 18+ months of experience in data center or critical environment or similar technical roles:
  Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations.
• 18+ months of experience with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment (VFL, power meter, OTDR, etc.).
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

• Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional or military experience in an IT‑related field (e.g., computer science, network engineering, etc.).
• Certifications in a relevant field (CCENT, Network+, CCNA).
