The Logistics Analyst I provides acquisition logistics and sustainment support to Marine Corps Systems Command programs throughout the acquisition lifecycle. The position supports logistics planning, sustainment analysis, readiness assessments, fielding activities, technical documentation development, training development, and property accountability for Acquisition Category (ACAT) and other Marine Corps acquisition programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Acquisition Logistics Documentation Support- Provide continuous logistics support to Government logistics leads through development, review, and updating of acquisition logistics documentation.
- Support development and maintenance of:
- Lifecycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs)
- Independent Logistics Assessments (ILAs)
- Fielding Plans
- Item Unique Identification (IUID) Implementation Plans
- Corrosion Prevention and Control Plans
- Facilities Impact Reports (FIRs)
- Stock List‑3 (SL‑3) documentation
- Technical Manuals
- Supply and equipment instructions
- Disposal plans
- Draft, edit, review, and coordinate logistics documentation in accordance with applicable:
- DoD acquisition policies
- DoN logistics guidance
- MCSC acquisition logistics processes
- Participate in logistics meetings, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), engineering reviews, and sustainment working groups.
- Apply knowledge of the 12 Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements to acquisition and sustainment activities.
- Support Independent Logistics Assessments (ILAs) in accordance with:
- SECNAVINST 4105.1C
- MCSC logistics guidance
- Support logistics assessments and sustainment planning activities including:
- Supply Chain Management implementation
- Sparing analysis
- Reorder point analysis
- Just‑in‑Time (JIT) logistics processes
- Total Quality Management (TQM) initiatives
- Assist with implementation of the MCSC Birth Record Guidebook and sustainment planning for new and modified systems.
- Maintain working knowledge and active user access to Government logistics systems including:
- Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS)
- Logistics – Data & Analytics Reporting Tool (L‑DART)
- Global Combat Support System – Marine Corps (GCSS‑MC)
- MCSC VIPER portal
- Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Logistics Information Services
- Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS)
- USMC Logistics Command Logway
- Intel Link on SIPRNet
- Utilize Government databases and reporting systems to support logistics planning, sustainment analysis, and readiness reporting.
- Collect, analyze, consolidate, and report logistics data supporting acquisition and sustainment activities.
- Conduct logistics readiness assessments by analyzing supply and maintenance readiness data for supported systems and equipment.
- Evaluate historical sustainment and readiness data to identify trends, risks, and corrective action opportunities.
- Support development and review of:
- Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) plans
- Material Readiness Reports
- Depot Source of Repair (DSOR) recommendations
- Maintenance Task Analyses (MTAs)
- Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) products
- Equipment exchange tracking documentation
- Marine Corps audit and accountability documentation
- Recommend corrective actions to reduce logistics‑related ownership costs and improve system readiness.
- Provide logistics support for development, review, revision, and maintenance of Technical Manuals and associated sustainment documentation.
- Coordinate updates and revisions with Government personnel, engineers, logisticians, and OEM representatives.
- Ensure documentation complies with applicable military standards and logistics guidance.
- Monitor and review program Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) activities.
- Analyze failure and corrective action data to identify reliability and sustainment trends.
- Develop and deliver quarterly FRACAS reports summarizing:
- Failure trends
- Root cause analysis
- Corrective actions
- Readiness impacts
- Support reliability improvement initiatives and sustainment planning efforts.
