Overview
JUNIOR LOGISTICS ANALYST (NMESIS):
Bowhead seeks a Junior Logistics Analyst to support our Product Manager Engineer, Maintenance, and Support Equipment (PdM) NMESIS Support Services contract located in Stafford, VA. The Junior Logistics Analyst will support logistics, equipment fielding, inventory accountability, and product support activities for the Navy/Marine Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System (NMESIS) program. The successful candidate will work as part of an integrated government-contractor team supporting equipment accountability, fielding preparation and execution, logistics documentation, program reviews, and sustainment activities.
Responsibilities- Support PdM NMESIS logistics, equipment fielding, sustainment, and product support activities.
- Support equipment accountability activities including equipment inventories, serialized asset tracking, equipment transfers, and reconciliation of inventory and accountability records.
- Prepare, review, and maintain logistics and property documentation supporting equipment receipt, transfer, acceptance, and accountability, including DD250s, DD1150s, inventory records, and related documentation.
- Support equipment fielding activities, including preparation and maintenance of fielding trackers, equipment lists, SL-3 inventories, fielding folders, and other fielding documentation.
- Participate in and support Joint Limited Technical Inspections (JLTIs), Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), equipment inventories, fielding conferences, and other logistics events.
- Support Item Unique Identification (IUID) activities by assisting with IUID plans, equipment identification, serial-number validation, data-plate verification, and associated documentation.
- Monitor equipment integration, production, delivery, and fielding status and update program trackers, spreadsheets, briefing materials, and accountability records as required.
- Support equipment accountability and fielding transactions within GCSS-MC and other applicable logistics and property management systems.
- Assist with the development, review, and maintenance of logistics products and program documentation, including Fielding Plans, IUID Plans, Disposal Plans, Lifecycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), Independent Logistics Assessment (ILA) documentation, technical publications, and logistics CDRLs.
- Review inventory and equipment records to identify discrepancies and assist with researching and resolving accountability, configuration, or fielding issues.
- Support preparation and maintenance of Logistics IPT, Fielding and Sustainment, contractor logistics, and other program briefing materials.
- Participate in Logistics IPTs, Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), integration meetings, fielding and sustainment meetings, and other program reviews as required.
- Track meeting actions, prepare meeting minutes when assigned, and coordinate with government personnel, contractors, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), integration organizations, and fielding units to support completion of logistics actions.
- Provide hands-on logistics and fielding support as required, including equipment inspection, inventory, preparation, configuration, and other activities necessary to prepare equipment for delivery or fielding.
- Support CONUS and OCONUS fielding activities and travel as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred. An equivalent combination of education, professional training, military logistics experience, or relevant work experience may be considered.
- One (1) to four (4) years of relevant experience in logistics, supply, equipment accountability, fielding, sustainment, government property, or related military/DoD support activities.
- Experience supporting DoD, military, government contractor, or similar logistics operations preferred.
- Familiarity with equipment inventory, serialized asset accountability, supply, property management, equipment transfer, or fielding activities.
- Experience with, or ability to learn, DoD logistics and accountability systems such as GCSS-MC, TFSMS, TLCM-OST, PIEE/WAWF, or similar systems. Prior GCSS-MC experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with military logistics documentation, equipment records, fielding documentation, or property transfer/acceptance processes is desirable.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to maintain trackers, inventories, equipment lists, and other logistics data.
