Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting students across two schools in the vibrant Washington DC metro area, just a short drive from the heart of the nations capital. This full‑time contract role spans the academic year, with a schedule that runs from 8:00am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday, offering the chance to positively impact school‑aged learners through assessment, consultation, and behavioral planning.

In this role, you’ll be an essential part of the multidisciplinary support team, focusing primarily on conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and consultations. You’ll lend your expertise to Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and occasionally collaborate on Multi‑Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) efforts. While you may provide periodic assistance to social workers with counseling services, your responsibilities will not include academic achievement testing, as Educational Diagnosticians are already present onsite.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Active Virginia Department of Education Certification and Virginia Psychologist Licensure
  • Experience working as a School Psychologist with knowledge of assessment and consultation best practices
  • Ability to support FBA/BIP processes and collaborate in MTSS frameworks
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork with educators and support staff
  • Successful completion of a Virginia Department of Social Services background check (to be initiated promptly)
  • Negative TB Test as required by Virginia regulations
What Awaits You:
  • Dynamic work supporting students in two schools with a range of needs
  • Structured weekday schedule, ideal for work‑life harmony
  • Opportunity to collaborate with dedicated professionals in a growing district
  • Chance to make a meaningful impact within a supportive educational community

If you’re passionate about fostering safe, inclusive, and supportive school environments and meet all licensure and credentialing requirements, don’t miss out on this rewarding opportunity. Take the next step in your career and apply now!
